CONTEST!!!


Lol. No not just some phony random word that I'm spitting out to get you to read my journal. I'll get to the contest part later. The title of this journal was brought to you by and I thought it was cute so I made it my next journal entry title.

Well...let's start from the beginning.

Exams have nearly killed me- I had things due that I didn't know about until half an hour before it was due (legit.) and it really sucked...but I pulled through and things were ok in the end.

But now that I have a semi-break I've got some shitty cold that wasn't so bad to begin with, but now I'm barely awake. It's really suckie. I have aches and pains..and a stuffy nose and my head is blocked up and...I'm getting an earache...and...Yeah I could go on.

But dammit I deserve to bitch.

I'm still working on a website with and things have been going by a bit slow but once the client decides on a design my end is going to be quick from there. All I'll have to do is color, so if you don't see the newest Fire Guardian Dragon up and finished right away- don't panic I'm getting to that.


I also recieved a request via note from a friend who asked if I could record my desktop so they could see the process I used to digitally color. I was wondering if anyone would be interested. I know that I watch a lot of them on youtube and I find them very fascinating- lemme know how you guys feel about that.

Ok...so I have a contest up and running!!! YAY!! The deadline closes on January 19th. and the quote that I want people to illustrate to is:

"I am Strong".


Now this requires more than just art to be submitted. This has to be a piece about YOU. Not your characters. You. In order to submit this illustration (or poetry or photography if you wish) you have to do a little soul searching, and find out why you're strong and what it is that makes you a strong individual. This should be a challenge for anyone with low self esteem and hopefully the goal is for that person to realize that they are indeed strong. There's something inside everyone that makes them a unique and beautiful person, it just happens that everyday we're so busy with everyday stuff that we don't sit and realize this.

If you're doing a visual representation your piece should include:

Why you drew what you did.
What the process was of getting there
What it is that makes you strong.

For a writing piece:

Explaining the process and what it is that makes you strong in a creative way. It could be a narrative, or a poem. Have fun with it!

Neatness (this goes for writing as well..no sloppy spelling)
